Dysport 

Tox injections are noted primarily for the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. They're also used to treat conditions such as neck spasms (cervical dystonia), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), an overactive bladder and lazy eye. Botox injections may also help prevent chronic migraines.

Botox injections use a toxin called onobotulinumtoxinA to temporarily prevent a muscle from moving. This toxin is produced by the microbe that causes botulism, a type of food poisoning.

Botox was the first drug to use botulinum toxin. Other products now include abobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport), rimabotulinumtoxinB (Myobloc) and incobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin). Each is a little different, particularly when it comes to dosage units, so they aren't interchangeable.

Dermal Fillers 

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected under the skin. Dermal fillers are meant to create a smoother or fuller appearance, or both.
 

The FDA regulates dermal fillers as medical devices. As reported in clinical trials, the effects of most FDA-approved dermal fillers are temporary because they are made from materials that the body eventually breaks down and absorbs. The injection procedure may have to be repeated to maintain the desired effect.

Types of dermal fillers

Temporary fillers include the following materials:

• Hyaluronic acid, a sugar that is naturally found in the body
• Calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral and a major component of bone
• Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable, synthetic material

There’s only one FDA-approved dermal filler that is not absorbed by the body. It is made with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) beads suspended in a solution that contains bovine (cow) collagen. PMMA beads are tiny round, smooth, plastic beads. 

PDO Threads

A PDO thread lift is a non-surgical facelift where facial skin is lifted and tightened using Polydioxanone (PDO) threads. These threads are anchored and inserted into different layers of the skin using needles, instantly lifting and tightening sagging skin. Anywhere from 1-15 threads may be used per section.

There are three main types of PDO threads: mono, cog, and screw threads. Each type is designed for a slightly different treatment and use. For most patients looking for tightening and skin rejuvenation, the mono texture will suffice. Prior to treatment, the skin is anesthetized for minimal discomfort.

PRP treatment

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections use a patient's own concentrated blood platelets for cosmetic skin rejuvenation, hair loss, decrease scar appearances  and can also accelerate healing in joints, tendons, and ligaments. The 30–60 minute procedure involves drawing blood, spinning it in a centrifuge, and injecting it into the target area. Results, often appearing over several weeks.
